More Rattlesnakes Showing Up In Wyoming Town
RAWLINS, Wyo. (AP) — Some residents of Rawlins in south-central Wyoming have been coming across rattlesnakes in their yards and gardens.
Ashlea Colson, who removes snakes, says it seems like more rattlesnakes are showing up in town over the last couple of years.
Colson says she noticed early this summer that they started popping up around town sooner they usually do.
She says one was found inside a truck stop.
Colson says snakes end up in town because they have dens nearby and they like to find someplace that is cool on hot days, such as gardens and yards.
So far this season, Carbon County Memorial Hospital has had one person visit the hospital for a snake bite.
