Officials with Laramie County School District No. 2 have announced the closure of schools Thursday, April 11 because of inclement weather and travel conditions caused by a string winter storm which has rocked southeast Wyoming.

The missed day will be made up on Friday, April 12, which will be a full day in the district. District two operates on a four-day school week, running Monday through Thursday.

District officials had originally announced that school on April 11 would convene two hours later than usual, but issued a new decision a little after 8 a.m. on Thursday.
