Kaycee Boys Stay Alive in 1A State Tournament
The Kaycee boys basketball turned in a solid effort in the 1A State Tournament consolation round as they eliminated Lingle 62-49 on Friday afternoon at Casper College. After a woeful performance from the field in Thursday's opening round loss to Cokeville, the Bucs responded by shooting a sizzling 68% from the floor in the 2nd half to win going away 62-49. Dion Ealy and Jarrett Humble each threw in 18 points from Kaycee with Hunter Rouse chipping in 14. The Bucs went 15-17 from the free throw line and turned the ball over just 9 times. Lingle was led by Ty Mueller with 13. Kaycee will play for 5th place on Saturday at noon taking on Burlington at Natrona County High School. It will be a rematch of last year's 1A state championship game which was won by Kaycee at the buzzer
