A Casper man has been arrested after being accused of visiting his child's elementary school while he was drunk.

Joshua Goad was arrested by police on Friday (November 11th) for 1 charge of driving while under the influence.

According to a police affidavit, during the late morning hours on Friday, a school guidance counselor at Cottonwood Elementary, contacted Goad and requested him to come in to discuss a small disciplinary action regarding his child.

When Goad arrived, the counselor later told police that he could detect an overwhelming odor of liquor on Goad's breath.

Goad told police he had been drinking some bourbon the night before, but had no intent to leave the school with his child.

A breathalyzer test showed that he had a blood alcohol content of .09.
