Jennifer Rozell Given Probation For Burlgary

A Cheyenne woman will avoid prison time in a case where she is accused taking items during a burglary.

Twenty-seven year old Jennifer Rozell was given a three-to-five-year suspended prison sentence with three years of probation, after she pleaded no contest to one charge of burglary.

Investigators with the Casper Police Department say in mid-September 2014, Casper Police Officers were called to a house burglary on Saint John’s Street.

When they arrived on scene, they found a car filled to the roof, and then later heard a baby crying from the back seat.

The baby was in a car seat covered with various items and it was determined that it was Rozell’s, plus there was a dog covered up in the back seat as well.

The child was taken into protective custody.

Police then went inside the house and found 34-year old Jeremy Holz.

Witnesses told investigators they say Rozell and Holz taking items outside the house and put them in the car, but Rozell and Holz claimed they were moving their property out of a friend’s house.

The caretaker of the house recognized some of the property and did not know Rozell of Holz.

Meanwhile, Holz has pleaded guilty to similar charges connected to this case, and has already been sentenced.
