A Casper man has been arrested on charges stemming from an October bar fight.

Thirty year old Jared Baker faces one count of aggravated assault and possession of a controlled substance.

Witnesses and victims told Casper Police that in mid-October, several fights broke out at the Sandbar and Baker was involved in one of them.

Earlier in the evening, Baker had been cut off by the bartender and later got into a shoving match with someone which spilled outside the bar.

After that, prosecutors say Baker returned in his vehicle, got out and hit Robert Wargo in the face with a tire iron.

Wargo underwent surgery on his jaw and had a metal plate inserted.

Investigators later found surveillance video that was able to back up the testimony of the witnesses and the victim.

Baker claims to have no memory of the night in question and had a blood alcohol content of .205 at the time of the incident.

A few days after the incident, police conducted a search of Baker's vehicle and found some suspect meth residue.

He is being held on $10,000 bond awaiting trial, and could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted.
