WATCH: Climbing To The Top Of Wyoming
Looking at the chain of peaks that make up Wyoming's Grand Tetons usually draws eyes to the most pointed one.
That's the most beautiful and hardest to climb.
But what about the center peak? What would it be like to climb to the top of it?
In the video below you can go along with a mountain climber and adventurer as he arrives in Jackson to do just that.
The video is well-shot and produced to help you enjoy the experience.
You can follow this climber on his many adventures on his YouTube page, The Mountain Matt.
"Climbing the Middle Teton has been a goal of mine for years now and I finally accomplished it!
"After years of hiking and climbing multiple trails and peaks in Grand Teton National Park, I have finally summited this iconic peak.
"Grand Teton National Park is host to unlimited adventures for everyone. Climbing the Middle Teton should be on the top of the list for any would-be adventure enthusiast.
Climbing the Middle Teton's southwest couloir in itself is not a very technical endeavor but is definitely a strenuous task.
"Car to Car from Lupine Meadows Trailhead is around 16 miles and over 6,000 feet of elevation gain so be prepared for an all-day extravaganza in the mountains!" (Mountain Matt).
Climbing this peak is not easy.
There is a long hike before it, which is beautiful.
Most of the way up is scampering over large boulders.
Then come the glaciers and slippery ice climbing.
The air gets thin. That makes it harder to push onward.
Finally, there is a climb over monstrous boulders to the top.
"Dreams do come true," says Matt at the top.
