PhotoFest! Chey. East Girls Defeat Natrona in Winter Showcase

The Cheyenne East girls basketball team flexed their muscles over the weekend with 3 wins in the Winter Showcase Tournament, The T-Birds posted lopsided wins over Kelly Walsh and Rock Springs, plus a 48-31 win over Natrona on Friday night. Jade Brown had 17 for East in the Natrona game with Cashlynn Haws adding 11 and Maleea Cruz chipping in 10. The T-Birds prevailed in this contest with a big surge in the 2nd half and sit at 9-1 on the year

The Natrona girls are 3-6 on the year with a loss to East and Central in the Cheyenne Tournament and a win over South. The Fillies are coming off a 5-18 season in 2023-24 and have missed the 4A State Tournament for the last two seasons. There's plenty of time to get things straightened out this year and the Fillies are led in scoring by senior Brynn Sybrant who has been averaging 10 points a game and sophomore Jos Berens throwing in 6 points per contest.
