PhotoFest! Cody Outlasts Kelly Walsh in 4A Volleyball

A couple of teams that are 4A volleyball championship contenders met up in Casper as #2 Cody took on #3 Kelly Walsh. These 2 squads met for the 4A championship in 2022 with KW winning 3 sets to none.

This was an entertaining match with solid kills, timely blocks, and great enthusiasm. Cody won the first set 25-20 but Kelly Walsh showed some fortitude by winning the 2nd set 25-23. Cody responded with a 25-19 win in set #3 and the Trojans came right back with a 25-22 win in set #4. It all went down to the 5th and final set and Cody prevailed in that one 17-15

The Fillies have an all-state returnee in Molly Hayes and a returning all-conference player in Ada Nelson. Cody is 18-2 on the year and they have a big-time hitter in Rainey Powell and Kelly Walsh drops to 21-6. The Trojans had to replace a ton of talent from a year ago but Kendal Allaire has turned out to be a hitting machine.
