Time is running out in the spring high school golf season in Wyoming. This is Week 6, and next week is the final week. The 2A Spring Championships are in Wright on Friday and Saturday. That features 11 teams. After Casper was wiped out by the weather, Lander and Star Valley have the only other events this week.

Casper Spring Invite at Casper Municipal G.C. – canceled.

May 7, 2025

Gering Boys Golf Invite at Monument Shadows G.C. – Cheyenne Central, Cheyenne East, Wheatland

Wheatland won the invite with a team score of 307. Central took second at 311, and East was fourth at 320 out of ten teams. Wheatland's Tate Nichols and Brecken Sandlian shot matching 1-under, 71s. Nichols won on a scorecard playoff.

2A Spring Championship Day 1 at Hay Creek G.C. in Wright – Big Horn, Guernsey-Sunrise, Kemmerer, Lusk, Moorcroft, Sundance, Ten Sleep, Thermopolis, Tongue River, Upton, Wright.

The Sundance girls and Thermopolis boys lead after Day 1. At the top of the leaderboard, Savanah Peterson leads by three shots in the girls' division. Hayden Overfield of Thermopolis and Trevan Benson of Kemmerer are tied in on the boys' leaderboard with 71s.

Lander Spring Invite at Lander G.C. – Cody, Lander, Laramie, Lovell, Lyman, Powell, Rawlins, Riverton, Worland.

Keigann Watson was the girls' medalist by five shots with an 85. She led the Tigers to the team title on their home course. Hunter Kihn fired a 70 and won the boys' division. Lander won the boys' team crown, as well.

Star Valley Spring Invite at Valli Vu G.C. in Afton – Evanston, Green River, Jackson, Pinedale, Rock Springs, Star Valley.

Evanston won the girls' division with a 288. Madi Brown won with an 80. Star Valley fired a 319 and took the boys' title. Evanston's Cade Brady shot a 72 and won by 2 shots.

May 10, 2025

2A Spring Championship Day 2 at Hay Creek G.C. in Wright – Big Horn, Guernsey-Sunrise, Kemmerer, Lusk, Moorcroft, Sundance, Ten Sleep, Thermopolis, Tongue River, Upton, Wright.

The medalists were Savanah Peterson of Sundance by 17 shots and Trevan Benson of Kemmerer by 1 shot. The Thermopolis girls and boys swept the team titles.
