Help Sleep In Heavenly Peace Transform Lives Of Children In Wyoming

How much sleep does a child need?

According to Kids Health, between 9 and 12 hours per night.

When a kid doesn't have a comfortable bed, they're not getting the proper sleep needed to help their brain sort through the information they've gathered throughout the day, replace chemicals in their system, and help their body heal.

Sleep in Heavenly Peace - Casper has been working for the last couple of years to ensure that every kid in Central Wyoming gets all the sleep they need by giving out beds to those in need.

The organization began operations in the Casper region in the summer of 2023 and has distributed almost $80,000 in beds. Hundreds of Wyoming kids are getting the rest they need to accomplish the tasks that they need to achieve every day.

The Sleep in Heavenly Peace -Casper crew meets throughout the year to build the beds. Then, when a family needs beds for their kids, they contact the group, and they'll get the family set up with the complete bed. The bed frame, mattress, and bedding are taken to their home and set up, all at no charge.

It's impossible to continue this mission without fundraising, and that's what we're doing this week at Thankful Thursday. Join us at the Beacon Club in Mills beginning at 5 p.m. March 13 to help raise money for this fantastic cause.
