Wyoming is 17-14 overall this season and capped its Mountain West schedule at 11-7 to finish third overall.

UW Athletics Director Tom Burman weighed in on the state of the women's program Tuesday afternoon in Laramie.

"Obviously, this team, this year, I think had a lot of talent, but should have been more consistent," he said. "They were inconsistent all year long. They were inconsistent in games week to week, but I have great faith in Heather and her staff and I think next year will be really exciting. Hopefully they can finish out strong and build a lot of momentum going into next year. This group coming back next year could be one of the best teams we've ever had, but they've got to find a way to string long stretches of good basketball together.

"It'd be great to go into the offseason feeling good about yourself. And, you know, they did that last year. That's why we all had high expectations. But I don't think we realized what a great asset Quinn Weidemann was last year and Tommi Olson. (They were) just great leaders. They have to find that kind of leadership."

Tickets for Friday’s game will go on sale Wednesday at 9 a.m. Tickets can be purchased online at www.GoWyo.com/tickets, over the phone at 307-766-7220 or in-person at the Wyoming Ticket Office.

Courtside tickets are $50, general admission tickets cost $15 for adults and $10 for youth and students. Season ticket holders will have their regular seats and can renew their tickets at GoWyo.com/renew or by calling the UW ticket office.

This is Wyoming's 12th trip to the WNIT in program history. The Cowgirls have an overall record of 21-10 in this tournament and claimed a title back in 2007.
