The Cowgirls trailed for only three points the whole evening, as Tennessee Tech led at 10-9 and 11-10 in the first set and scored the first point of the second. Other than that, it was all Cowgirls as the whole match featured just 11 ties.

UW now has four home wins this season, which is already more than the three it tabbed in 2022. The 10 victories also already match the 10 wins from a season ago. The Cowgirls were efficient on both sides of the net Thursday, hitting .307 in the sweep while holding the Golden Eagles (4-6) to just a .078 attacking percentage.

Tierney Barlow had a big night in the win, leading the way with a match-high 14 kills while hitting .435. Barlow also led all players with six total (two solo, four assisted) blocks on the night.

Corin Carruth also finished in double-digits offensively with 11 kills.

In the back row, Skylar Erickson tallied a match-high eight digs while Sierra Grizzle and Rylee Schulz notched six each. Schulz also paced the Cowgirls with four service aces on the night.

As a team, UW had seven aces and six serving errors while Tennessee Tech had just a pair of aces and committed nine errors.

Kasia Partyka ended the night with a match-high 31 assists as her strong start to 2023 continued.

Wyoming closes out its non-conference slate Saturday afternoon in Laramie as Idaho State comes to town for a 1 p.m., contest to close out the UniWyo Invite.
