Habitat for Humanity, Heart of Wyoming, is looking for tenants for its next housing project.

It will be the agencies 28th home in Casper and next week, a string of informational meetings should help those who qualify find there way through the application process.

Executive Director Amy Butler, says qualifying and applying is not easy.

"Habitat for Humanity gives a hand up, not a hand out. Individuals have to be willing to partner with Habitat. They have to put in sweat equity on their home. They have to show a need, meaning they can't currently own a home."

She says applicants need to be living in substandard conditions or not be able to afford a conventional mortgage. Habitat offers a zero percent interest loan. She says , even though applicants are called to jump through many hoops, the reward comes with owning your own brand new home at an affordable monthly rate.

The site for their next home building project is in North Casper.
