Walk-in flu shot clinics will be held at the Casper Senior Center every Monday afternoon, 1:30 to 6 p.m. for the next month and a half.

Sponsored by the Casper-Natrona County Health Department, the clinics are open to anyone 12 years of age and older. Health Department Director, Bob Harrington says the vaccine is the best bet to avoid what can be a very serious disease.

"We're coming into the winter season when people congregate closer together indoors. People travel for the holidays sharing all their viruses with friends and family."

He says the flu shot, along with good hand hygiene, can make the difference. The vaccine costs $18.

Additional flu clinics for children, 11 years or younger, will take place at the Health Department Building, 475 South Spruce, Tuesday, October 23 and Tuesday, October 30. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

The Casper Senior Center is located at 1831 East 4th Street.  Those clinics require no appointment and happen October  8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th. November 5th, closed Nov. 12 for Veterans day, and the last clinic takes place on Nov. 19th.
