ROCK SPRINGS, Wyo. (AP) — Authorities are making preparations to recover a body found in the Flaming Gorge Reservoir last weekend.

Sweetwater County Sheriff Rich Haskell said Wednesday that the recovery operation is tentatively set for June.

The body is believed to be that of Richard Herren, who apparently fell into the reservoir while fishing 15 years ago.

His wife directed searchers to the spot on the reservoir where Herren disappeared on Saturday. They used cadaver dogs and side-scan sonar to locate a body 130 feet below the water's surface.

Haskell said a dive that deep can be very dangerous at high altitude and that water temperature, visibility and weather are among the factors that will have to be taken into account. He also said the body will be difficult to remove because it's so fragile.
