Casper Fire-EMS crews and the Casper Police Department have had a busy couple of days.
There was the fire last night on 2nd street, and this morning at 10:30, a call went out about smoke seen at St. Anthony’s Manor, an 8-story senior housing building run by the Archdiocese at Wolcott and 6th street.
Officer Justin Edberg of the Casper Police said the fire was found on the 7th floor of the building, and police and firefighters evacuated the 5th, 6th, 7th and 8th floors. The residents were gathered in the lobby area.
As of 11:30 A.M., the scene was crowded with 6 fire trucks and support vehicles and 7-8 police cars. Try to avoid that area if possible.
