LARAMIE, Wyo. (AP) — A proposal presented to the University of Wyoming Board of Trustees calls for spending $68 million to renovate four dorms.

Trustees were presented with a draft of the university's 10-year housing plan during their meeting last week in Laramie.

The draft housing plan was created by a national design firm specializing in campus housing.

University officials aim to attract 1,100 additional students and need to provide on-campus housing for them. They say new dorms would help recruitment of new students.

UW Executive Director of Residence Life Eric Webb says students want more amenities, such as more space in bathrooms and community space, in their housing.

A final version of the plan will be presented to trustees in November.
