David Ball Rides Into The Beacon Club June 29th
The Beacon Club in Mills has seen its share of great country acts in the past few months like Darryl Worley, Mark Chesnutt, and Josh Gracin. Now they're set to bring you another one - Nashville recording artist David Ball. Yee Haw!
For those not in the know, David Ball rose to prominence in the 1990s. The son of a baptist preacher - his first chart topper was 1994's Thinkin' Problem. That would be followed by When the Thought of You Catches Up with Me, and Look What Followed Me Home. David recorded continuously through the '90s and would eventually score another big hit with Riding With Private Malone in 2001. It's a song about a man who upon finishing his military service, buys a classic Corvette through the classified ads. In the glove compartment of the car, he finds a note left by Private Andrew Malone, a young serviceman who gave his life in Vietnam. He fixes up the car and cherishes it, being extremely proud of its valued past. When he and the car are involved in a serious accident, someone recalls seeing an unidentified soldier saving the man. The man is sure it is his "guardian angel," Private Malone.
Don't be left out! It's going to be an awesome night of music at The Beacon on Friday, June 29th. The show is for all ages. Tickets are $15 in advance available at the Beacon Club. They go up to $20 the night of the show, so it'll pay to pick them up early.
In addition to the V.I.P. package ( reserved front row table, round of drinks, meet-n-greet with David Ball) that K2 listeners are able to win, there will also be a special raffle for Operation Troop Aid. David is a spokesperson for this invaluable organization that provides care packages for our service members.
Get ready to come out and have a great time at The Beacon Club with David Ball and K2 Radio!
