A Mills man serving time in Nebraska, will be spending more time behind bars after admitting to having sexual contact with a young girl.

Curtis Jenkins was sentenced to 14-to-20 years in prison (2 seven-to-ten year sentences to be served one after the other) after he pleaded guilty to two charges of immodest or indecent liberties with a minor.

Investigators with the Casper Police Department say from September of 1997 through April of 2002, the victim said Jenkins was her babysitter, and after awhile he started to fondle and penetrate her.

During those times, the victim was anywhere in the fourth through eighth grades in school.

When interviewed Jenkins said he had been molested by his step-father at a young age, and something did happen between him and the victim, but he couldn't remember specifics, because he had done drugs a number of times afterwards.

He added that he recorded a journal of some of the encounters on a floppy disk, which police later found and confiscated for evidence.

At the time of his sentencing, Jenkins was serving time in Nebraska for an unrelated crime.

He will be transferred to a Wyoming prison, when that sentence is complete, but his Wyoming sentence will run at the same time as his Nebraska sentence.
