Cowboys Taking Steps Forward According to Coach Bohl [VIDEO]
Compliments towards the offensive line, the offense in general and his team’s attitude came from head coach Craig Bohl after spring practice Tuesday in Laramie.
The Wyoming Cowboys went through their first major scrimmage work of spring last Saturday. It wasn’t a large sample, but Coach Bohl was pleased they got in 70 plays despite several players missing due to injury or sitting others out. Veterans like Andrew Wingard, Logan Wilson and Youhanna Ghaifan didn’t participate last Saturday.
Coach Bohl spoke with the media after Tuesday’s 10th practice of spring drills. He was happy with the run game and blocking in the scrimmage; talked briefly about the QB’s; how the team responded in practice after the scrimmage and really highlighted his team’s attitude with all that’s going on.
Bohl was also pleased with running backs Xazavian Valladay and Mike Greene II and linebacker Adam Pilapil from the scrimmage. It was held in UW's Indoor Practice Facility and was closed to the media and public. No statistics were kept at the scrimmage.
This is the fourth week of spring practice. They Pokes will have two more sessions this week, Thursday and Saturday, and then three more next week. It will conclude with the Spring Game on Saturday, April 21 in War Memorial Stadium at 2 p.m.
