One person has been arrested and charged in connection with a number of burglaries at a Casper mall.

Thirty-seven-year-old Colby Thomas is facing two counts of burglary, one count of wrongful taking or disposing of property and one count of possession of a controlled substance.

Investigators say in mid-August, a number of businesses were broken into in the food court of Eastridge Mall and a number of items had been stolen after the Mall had closed.

Officers obtained footage from a security camera inside the Subway store and identified Thomas as the burglar.

After searching his vehicle, police found other items related to a separate burglary at the Sunrise Shopping Center, as well as burglary tools used to pry open doors.

Methamphetamine was also found inside the car.

Thomas is awaiting trial and could face up to 10 years in prison on each of the burglary charges and the wrongful taking or disposing of property charge if convicted.
