The Lions Club of Casper will once again be doing vision screenings for preschool children this fall. The screenings are important for early detection and treatment of vision impairments in children up through the age of 6.

The Lions Club of Casper is a service organization which works to prevent blindness and improve eye health and eye care through programs including vision screenings. In 1925, Helen Keller addressed the Lions at their international convention and urged them to become "knights of the blind in the crusade against darkness." Since then, Lions have become renowned worldwide for their efforts to improve sight, prevent blindness and other visual impairment, and improve eye health and eye care for millions of people around the world.

The screenings are done at the individual childcare, preschool and early education facilities. To schedule the testing at your site, contact Lion Club member George Vanderveen at 307-472-7714.
