A Natrona County woman is now admitting her role in a drunk driving crash that resulted in several injuries.

Chasity DelRio has pleaded guilty to one charge of DUI resulting in serious bodily injury.

Natrona County Sheriff’s Deputies were called to a one vehicle crash on County Highway 116 near Midwest in early August.

Both DelRio and her passenger, Michael Mondle, were not wearing their seat-belts at the time and were life-flighted to Denver for treatment.

In an interview with investigators, DelRio told them she had been drinking earlier in the day, smoked pot several days prior and estimated that she was driving at about 50-60 miles per hour at the time of the crash.

Investigators say DelRio had a blood alcohol concentration level of 0.19, more than twice the legal limit for driving.

Mondle ended up with a broken wrist and multiple broken bones in his neck and back as a result of the crash.

As part of a plea deal, prosecutors will seek no more than a four-to-six year prison sentence, which will be handed down at a later date.
