Two local organizations that help the Casper-area's developmentally disabled population will merge this summer.

Chris Boston with NOWCAP Services says both NOWCAP and Eagle Ability Services will combine operations July 1.

“We wanted to join forces and offer more choices to the folks that we support in the community, and grow those choices and options – not only in living situations, but in day programming and the employment arena,” Boston said.

Boston says the individuals who utilize NOWCAP and Eagle Ability will not notice any service interruptions during the merger.

“We’re going to have an east side location here at NOWCAP Services, and the Eagle Ability location on the west side of Casper will continue operations,” Boston said. “Really, the only thing (the people who utilize NOWCAP and Eagle) will notice is that they will have more choices and options in the services they receive.

Boston also says NOWCAP will extend formal job offers to all Eagle Ability employees.
