Brian Christensen Sworn In As Natrona County Circuit Court Judge

A former Natrona County prosecutor will now hear court cases from the other side of the bench.

On Tuesday, February 4th, Brian Christensen was given his robe and gavel as he officially became the newest Circuit Court Judge for the Seventh Judicial District in Natrona County.

He had been working with the Natrona County District Attorney's office for the past 29 years and says over that time, there's been a lot of community action involvement groups which have helped reduce the number of criminal cases that have made it to the courthouse.

"I think we've set up a lot more programs to help address them, those type of issues, and I know we have. Our adult drug court, our student court, our Youth Diversion Program, Children's Advocacy Project, they've all had impact on people's lives in our community for them to have a better life."

Judge Christensen is replacing Judge Michael Huber, who recently retired after serving 32 years on the bench.
