A Casper man has admitted that he exposed himself to a student near an elementary school.

Brenden Day has pleaded guilty to one charge of third degree sexual abuse of a minor.

Investigators with the Casper Police Department say in middle April 2016, a juvenile female was walking home from school, and reported seeing a male in an alley in the area of Milton and Beech Streets, with his hands on his exposed genitals.

She was able to provide a description of the male to police, who eventually found Day, because they had a description of him and his vehicle, and wanted to question him about a number of other reported incidents, that he was alleged to have been involved in.

When interviewed, he said he had been struck in the head with a baseball bat, and had not been right since that time.

He added that he had urges and that he recently ended a relationship, lost a job and was kicked out of his residence.

Day said the rage he was experiencing caused the impulse to masturbate in public.

He also admitted to doing the same thing at several hotels, and in one instance, in the lobby.

Day said he felt the masturbation was a way to release negative emotion that he was feeling and fantasized about abducting a person during his events.

As part of a plea deal, prosecutors will seek no more than a four-to-six year prison sentence.

Day is being held on $15,000 bond, and will be sentenced at a later date.
