Here's a government action to warm your heart now that it's freezing, windy cold outside.

The U.S. Bureau of Land Management plans to burn slash piles on Casper Mountain during the winter, according to a news release.

One of those fires will happen at some time on Natrona County Road 504 -- known as Micro Road -- next to Camp Sacagawea.

The slash piles were created during the BLM's construction of a fuel break together with the Casper Mountain Wildfire Mitigation Group.

The BLM states its burn projects are conducted with approved burn plans that specify certain weather, smoke dispersal and fuel moisture conditions.
