Black Ice, Speed Contributing Factors in Fatal I-25 Accident
Officials with the Wyoming Highway Patrol say black ice conditions contributed to a fatal single-vehicle accident on Interstate 25 in Platte County over the weekend.
Wyoming Highway Patrol Sgt. Steven Townsend says 36-year-old Gabriell Palmer of Scottsbluff, Neb., was traveling northbound on I-25 near Glendo on Saturday night when her pickup truck spun out of control, traveled down a steep embankment and overturned.
Palmer was found dead at the scene.
Townsend says speed and worn tires were also contributing factors in the crash.
