Bison Knocks Over Yellowstone Construction Worker
WEST YELLOWSTONE, Mont. (AP) — A construction worker in Yellowstone National Park had a run-in with a bison this past week.
Park spokesman Neal Herbert says the man was working east of Fishing Bridge on Thursday morning when a bison knocked him to the ground.
The man was taken to a clinic but Herbert says he did not know the extent of his injuries.
In early June, park officials say a group of tourists was standing on a boardwalk and some came within 15 feet of the bison as it crossed. The animal became agitated and charged them, goring a California woman. She was treated for a hip injury.
Park officials recommend people stay at least 75 feet from bison.
