The Wyoming Military Department Hosted a reception Wednesday at the Wyoming National Guard's Joint Forces Readiness Center in Cheyenne to celebrate the Art In Public Buildings Program. A committee was formed to select the art for the building.

In 1991, the 51st Wyoming Legislature passed the Arts in Public Buildings legislation. One percent of construction costs of new state owned buildings is used for the purpose of placing artwork in a public setting. About $100,000  of state money was spent on the artwork in the Joint Forces Readiness Center.

Wyoming's adjutant General, Maj. Gen. Luke Reiner, said the artwork will boost morale and make the building a more enjoyable place to work.
