Accident Causes Laramie Power Outage, Affects 500

LARAMIE -- Rocky Mountain Power reported an isolated power outage due to an accident at around 9 a.m. Tuesday morning.

Officials say a car hit a utility pole near southwestern 3rd St. in Laramie, forcing repair crews to isolate the area and shut off the power.

A portion of the affected area, basically west of Soldier Spring Road, had power restored around 10:45 a.m.

Other affected areas, approximately 500 homes, could see the outage last until 1 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon.
