The Casper Public Safety Communications Center has scheduled a maintenance upgrade for their administrative phone systems.

On May sixth between five and six in the morning, the Casper Public Safety Communications Center will be upgrading their phone systems.

During that time, all of our administrative lines and non-emergent lines will be taken down so they can install some new software and hardware.

Joe Wistisen is the manager for Project 911.

We do have an alternate phone number that the citizens can use in a non-emergency situation and that is going to be 333-3823, and of course our 911 lines will remain operational throughout the entire project.

Wistisen says that the upgrade will improve the response time it takes for dispatchers to access the lines.
