Casper's city hall atrium, Thursday evening, was filled with  stakeholders taking in ideas  from urban development consultants Crandall-Arambula.

The maps and generated overlays on display illustrate what could-be if ideas like a new conference center, a public square or additional anchor retail were added to downtown. Response on the floor was muted.

Consultant, George Crandall, says they welcome scepticism and criticism and want to hear what folks think.

"None of this is arbitrary. There are certain things that work and certain things that don't work and we are fairly confident that we can explain why things are the way they are."

The consultants meet again with business owners and city officials and begin developing a proposal for implementation. He says they'll be back one more time. Then its up to the city and its residents to pickup the urban re-development ball and run with it.
