Ideas for developing the Casper's downtown core will be on display at an open house Thursday evening at city hall.

The consulting firm Crandall-Arambula have a number of concepts to present following their last five months of visioning work with the city. Community Development Director, Liz Becher says they've got 3D models of ideas that could be implemented to spur the growth and financial health of downtown.

"Whether it be the conference center and hotel project that's been highlighted in the media, or whether it be the plaza. Whether it be parking structure concepts or additional retail."

Becher says they want another round of community input and to hear thoughts on priorities. She says that will help set up the implementation suggestions that the consultants will be bringing forward to council next.

Key folks will be available to answer questions at the informal open house Thursday from 4 to 7 p.m. in the city hall lobby.
