CASPER, Wyo. (AP) — The Wyoming State Parks, Historic Sites and Trails division reports a third straight year of record-breaking visitation numbers.

The agency says there was an 8 percent increase in visitors in 2015 and a 10 percent increase in revenue.

State Parks, Historic Sites and Trails Administrator Domenic Bravo says just about every historic site and state park saw some type of increase.

Bravo says visitation came from both Wyoming residents and out-of-state visitors.

He credits new events and programs his agency has introduced.

Glendo State Park, one of Wyoming's most popular state parks, saw an increase partly because of its additional mountain bike trails. Edness Kimball Wilkins State Park introduced a first day of January hike to encourage more visitors in the winter months.
