This year Nic Fest is slated to kick-off Friday, July 22nd and will continue Saturday and Sunday the 23rd and 24th in the area surrounding the Nicolaysen Art Museum.

Nic Fest is a summer arts festival that features visual arts, music, food and fun for the whole family. Attended by more than 18,000 people in 2011, the festival has grown to include the involvement of community businesses, non-profit organizations, an antique car show, and more than 80 artist booths, a wide range of music and performances, food, and family fun. This is the largest arts festival of its kind in our region. Arts and music from around the country are featured and it gives the young and the young-at-heart an opportunity to interact with the arts and to see and experience music and art that is not otherwise available.
This year, NIC Fest includes a folk-life theme which will allow our patrons to explore diverse traditions from culturally specific areas. Folk-life themes will include specific programs of music, song, dance, celebratory performance, crafts, and cooking. NicFest 2012 will celebrate Mexican culture, art, music and food.
