Two Wyoming Men Accused of Abandoning Horses
CODY, Wyo. (AP) — Two brothers have pleaded not guilty to charges that they abandoned three horses in northern Wyoming last winter.
Brad and David Flint, of Park County, entered their pleas Tuesday to misdemeanor charges in Park County Circuit Court. They have been released on $3,000 bail each, and a Dec. 21 trial date has been set.
The two are accused of "cruelly abandoning" three horses in the Shoshone National Forest last winter. Two of the horses were eventually rescued, while the third apparently died.
Forest Service Law Enforcement officer Ron Ostrum says the horses were lost during a hunt in the Meeteetse area last September.
The two surviving horses were found by the horn hunter in April.
