Wednesday's temperatures were a far cry from last week's deep freeze, with several locations in southeast Wyoming and the Nebraska Panhandle either setting or tying record highs.

Southeast Wyoming will see little relief from the wind any time soon, as warm temperatures and dry conditions are expected to hang across the area through early December.

In addition, fire weather conditions will be elevated on Saturday in southeast Fremont, Natrona, and southern Johnson counties.

But the overall pool of money available to pay those claims, should the city of Casper be found responsible, is $500,000.

Despite fire bans being lifted in other counties throughout the state of Wyoming, Natrona County’s fire ban still remains in effect.
