Cheyenne police are hunting for a suspect after a teen was stabbed late Friday night at South High School.

The Natrona County School District recently confirmed that a threat had been written on a bathroom stall at Kelly Walsh High School.

Cheyenne police have recommended charges against a teenager who they say called 911 earlier this week threatening gun violence at South High School.

The program launched in October 2016 in the Natrona County School District before later being introduced to the entire state.

Administrators believe the anonymity makes students more likely to report threats of all kinds.

The tip came in through the "Safe2Tell" app.

Earlier this year, the Legislature passed, and Gov. Matt Mead signed, the bill authorizing Safe2Tell Wyoming.

The program promotes awareness about school safety, intervention while protecting confidentiality, and reviewing how authorities handled a situation.
