Four city council candidates in the wards in central and west Casper, and two in the ward in east Casper will advance to the general election after Tuesday's primary, according to the unofficial results from the Natrona County Clerk's Office...

The polls open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m.

The primary election is Aug. 18 and the general election is Nov. 3.

Opponents say limiting when people can switch parties jeopardizes voters' freedom to participate in Wyoming elections.

The committee plans to discuss the bill again Tuesday.

Current Law allows voters to vote in either primary simply by changing their party registration at any time.

Two Laramie residents have also been given write-in nominations
