He is currently serving a 23-year sentence for rape and sexual assault.

He faced a maximum of 29 years in prison.

The jury found him not guilty on the most serious charge, predatory sexual assault, that could result in a life sentence.

Weinstein has insisted any sexual encounters were consensual.

The trial involves charges that Weinstein raped a woman in 2013 and forcibly performed a sex act on another woman in 2006.

Lawyers for Weinstein had no immediate response to the charges.

Prosecutors accuse him of leaving home a piece of the monitoring technology that keeps the ankle bracelet activated.
