The huge State girls fastpitch softball tournament wrapped up on Sunday in Casper with games played at the North Casper Complex and the Field of Dreams. In the under 18 division, the Cheyenne Extreme won the state championship with a 9-6 win over the Gillette Blue Jays. The Worland Wildfires prevailed in the U16 bracket with a 12-0 win over the Powell Roughriders. Over in the U14 bracket, the Laramie All-Stars defeated the Lander Legends 19-11 for the title while Gillette defeated Cody 23-1 to win the U14 "B" division. The Wheatland Lady Lobos defeated Lander 23-1 to take the U12 crowns with the Rock Springs Storm beating the Wyoming Fearless 9-1 to take the U12 "B" classification. Wheatland also beat Lander 14-4 in the U10 championship game with Rock Springs defeating the Wyoming Fearless 8-0 in the "B" division.
