Southeast Wyoming Traffic Stop Leads to Drug Arrests

Four people are facing felony drug charges after Cheyenne-area troopers stopped their vehicles on Interstate 80 Saturday.

Court records say Lisa Danette Kruse, 44, and Marco Antonio Cespedes Ventura, 22, were traveling directly behind Victor Angel Demayuga Luna, 32, and Sean Gregory Collins, 62, in an SUV recently registered to Collins when a trooper spotted their vehicles speeding near Warren Road.

The trooper was able to stop Luna and Collins, who reportedly denied knowing or traveling with Kruse and Ventura.

The trooper requested a drug detection K9 and another unit to stop the SUV after Luna reportedly handed him the registration for the SUV.

Both vehicles were subsequently searched and approximately 22.9 pounds of meth and .95 pounds of heroin were found in hidden compartments in the SUV's frame rails, according to an affidavit.

It was learned from interviews that Luna had paid Collins and Kruse, both of Oregon, to drive the vehicles to Nebraska since they had valid driver's licenses.

The four have been charged with conspiracy to manufacture, deliver, or possess heroin and meth; possession with intent to deliver heroin and meth; and felony possession of heroin and meth. They could each could face up to 74 years in prison if convicted.
