Several Natrona County businesses with liquor licenses got into trouble with the Sheriff's Department.

According to the Natrona County Sheriff's Department, deputies conducted an alcohol compliance check at twelve establishments. Of those twelve, six were cited for selling alcohol to a minor.

An 18-to-20 year old male would visit the various places, order an alcoholic beverage and kept with him a valid identification card.

The six establishments that failed the compliance checks were the Sunset Bar and Grille near Alcova, The Goose Egg Inn southwest of Casper, the Lazy Eight Bar east of Evansville, Cowboys and The Horseshoe Bar west of Mills, and Sky Terrace Lounge at the Casper-Natrona County International Airport.

The various servers that failed the compliance check either did not check for I.D. or did not check the I.D. thoroughly enough.

Failing a compliance check is a misdemeanor offense and the maximum penalty under law, is a seven-hundred and fifty dollar fine, and/or six months in jail.
