Sierra Trading Post Goes Fur-Free
Wyoming's largest internet retailer is going fur-free.
The retail giant made the decision to ban fur following talks with PETA.
"Our aim is to avoid knowingly selling products that contain real fur," said Sierra Trading Post spokesperson Doreen Thompson. "From time to time, our stores may offer products with shearling or hair calf."
"By banning fur, Sierra Trading Post has made a world of difference for animals who are caged, shocked, beaten and skinned for coats, collars and cuffs," said PETA Executive Vice President Tracy Reiman. "PETA is calling on shoppers to go fur-free and to stick to kind retailers that have done the same."
