The Riverton Wolverines will have a new head football coach in 2020 after Patrick Patterson resigned following seven seasons at the helm.

Wyoming-football.com first reported the resignation Monday morning.

Patterson was 27-39 in his tenure with the Wolverines. Riverton was 4-6 in 2019 and hosted a first-round playoff game against Jackson. The Wolverines qualified for the Class 3A playoffs in five of the past seven years. They reached the semifinals in 2014, which was Patterson's second season.
