A Casper woman will avoid jail time, after admitting she indirectly helped with a hotel TV burglary caper.

Rachel Johnson was given first time offender status, along with one-to-five years of probation, after she pleaded guilty to one charge of accessory after the fact.

Investigators with the Casper Police Department say in May 2014, there was an overnight burglary of nine new Samsung flatscreen televisions worth $6,300 from the Holiday Inn.

Investigators got a lead when they found someone trying to sell the televisions on Facebook.

After the burglars loaded the televisions on a Ford F150 pickup loaned to them by Johnson, they drove to her apartment on the west side of Casper and stored them there.

Johnson asked the burglars to move the televisions the next day.

All the televisions were eventually recovered.

If Johnson completes her probation term, her guilty conviction will be cleared from her criminal record.

A number of other accomplices directly involved in the case (James Arner, Mathew Pickett, Gilbert Casias, and Jason Jackson) have pleaded guilty to various charges.
