DENVER (AP) — A Colorado woman says she missed a flight in Wyoming because there were no female screeners available.

Jennifer Winning of Littleton said she checked in for a flight at the Rock Springs, Wyo. airport on Jan. 29 but then learned the flight was delayed. She went outside to wait for the plane to arrive but when she came back inside, she said the security door was locked.

She said that a Transportation Security Administration told her she couldn't be screened for the flight because the only female agent had been sent home to avoid overtime.

However, the TSA says Winning wasn't allowed to board because she was late and the flight had been closed after several final boarding calls.

Winning drove home in a rental car, a six-hour trip.
