Michael Elmore Of Casper Charged With Third Degree Sexual Assault
A Casper man is accused of groping a woman.
Michael Elmore has pleaded not guilty to one felony charge of third degree sexual assault and one misdemeanor charge of unlawful contact.
Investigators with the Casper Police Department say in July 2016, Elmore was working as a contract employee in a store and spoke to one of the female employees about getting access to the roof of the building.
The victim said while leading him to the access area, Elmore grabbed her from behind just above her hips.
She said Elmore had also been asking her if she was single and that he was married, but his wife allows him to engage in one time deals.
A short time later Elmore grabbed the victim from behind again, this time on buttocks, and forcibly kissed her.
When asked by officers about his actions, Elmore said he had talked to several girls and did not respond to anymore questions.
He is free on $10,000 bond awaiting trial, and could face up to 15 years in prison on the third degree sexual assault charge if convicted.
